Responsible Play & Fair Play Policy — FootyQuiz
Last updated: 8 March 2026
1. Introduction
This Responsible Play & Fair Play Policy explains the standards we apply to all competitions, prize draws and promotional games operated by FootyQuiz on https://footyquiz.co.uk (the “Site”).
Our aim is to keep competitions fair, transparent, secure and enjoyable for all entrants.
By entering a competition on the Site, you agree to comply with this policy in addition to our Terms of Service and Competition Terms & Conditions.
2. Play Responsibly
We encourage all users to take part responsibly and only spend what they can comfortably afford.
Competitions on FootyQuiz are intended to be fun promotional experiences. They should never be viewed as a source of income, a financial strategy or a guaranteed outcome.
If you feel that taking part is becoming excessive or no longer enjoyable, you should stop participating.
3. Age Restriction
You must be 18 years of age or older to enter any competition on the Site.
We reserve the right to request proof of age at any time. If you are unable to provide satisfactory evidence that you are 18 or over, your entry may be voided and any prize may be withheld.
4. Accurate Information
You must provide complete, accurate and up-to-date information when entering a competition, including your name, billing details and a valid email address.
We may refuse an entry, suspend an account or withhold a prize where false, misleading or incomplete information has been provided.
5. One Person, One Identity
To protect the fairness of our competitions, each entrant must participate using their genuine identity.
You must not:
- Create or use multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage;
- Enter on behalf of another person without permission;
- Use false names, disposable details or misleading contact information;
- Attempt to disguise linked entries through duplicate accounts or payment methods.
Where we reasonably believe that multiple entries are linked to the same individual or household in a way that breaches our rules, we reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action.
6. Bots, Automation and Technical Abuse
The use of bots, scripts, crawlers, automation tools or any other method designed to manipulate, accelerate or interfere with the entry process is strictly prohibited.
You must not attempt to:
- Automate purchases or entries;
- Circumvent limits, checks or validation steps;
- Exploit bugs, vulnerabilities or unintended behaviours;
- Interfere with the operation of the Site, payment systems or draw process.
Any such activity may result in cancellation of entries, suspension of access and permanent exclusion from future competitions.
7. Fraud and Unfair Conduct
We operate a zero-tolerance approach to fraud, abuse and unfair conduct.
We may investigate and take action where we reasonably suspect:
- Fraudulent transactions or suspicious payment activity;
- Chargeback abuse or intentional payment reversals after valid entry;
- Collusion, identity manipulation or account sharing;
- Attempts to tamper with a draw, entry list or competition result;
- Abusive, threatening or dishonest behaviour towards FootyQuiz or other entrants.
Where fraud or abuse is suspected, we may delay prize release while checks are completed.
8. Verification Checks
Before awarding a prize, we may carry out reasonable verification checks to confirm:
- Your identity;
- Your age;
- Your eligibility under our published rules;
- The legitimacy of the transaction and payment method used.
If requested, you must provide the information reasonably required for these checks within the timeframe stated in our communication.
9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If an entry payment is reversed, disputed, charged back or otherwise found to be invalid, the associated entry may be cancelled.
If a chargeback or payment reversal is made after a valid entry has been accepted, we reserve the right to:
- Remove the related entry or entries from the competition;
- Disqualify the entrant where appropriate;
- Withhold or recover any prize awarded in connection with the invalid payment, where legally permitted.
10. Entry Limits
Some competitions may include entry limits per person, per account, per household or per payment method.
Any such limits will be displayed on the relevant competition page. You must not attempt to bypass these limits by using multiple accounts, names, cards, addresses or email addresses.
11. Draw Integrity
We are committed to running transparent and verifiable competitions.
Once a competition closes, valid entries are frozen into a final entry list before the draw takes place. The winning entry is then determined using the draw method described on the competition page and in our Competition Terms & Conditions.
Any attempt to interfere with the integrity of a competition, draw tool, ticket allocation or public result page may lead to immediate disqualification.
12. Winner Contact and Prize Claims
Winners will be contacted using the contact details supplied at checkout, usually by email.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your email address is correct and that you check your inbox, spam and junk folders after the draw.
If a winner does not respond within a reasonable period, fails verification or is found to be in breach of our rules, we reserve the right to disqualify that entry and select an alternative winner in accordance with our Competition Terms & Conditions.
13. Disqualification
We reserve the right to disqualify an entrant, cancel entries or withhold a prize where we reasonably believe that:
- The entrant is under 18;
- The entrant is ineligible under the published rules;
- False or misleading information has been provided;
- There has been fraud, technical abuse or rule circumvention;
- The entrant has acted unfairly, dishonestly or abusively.
We may also refuse future participation where necessary to protect the integrity of the Site and its users.
14. Refunds Following Rule Breaches
Where an entrant is disqualified for breaching our rules, we are not obliged to provide a refund unless required by law.
Refunds may still be considered at our discretion in cases involving genuine error, duplicate payment or competition cancellation.
15. Fair Presentation of Competitions
We aim to describe competitions clearly and honestly, including key information such as the prize, entry route, closing conditions, draw method and winner notification process.
We will not knowingly present competitions in a misleading way or exaggerate a participant’s chances of winning.
16. National Lottery Disclaimer
Where a competition uses the UK National Lottery Lotto result as a public verification source, this does not mean the competition is affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the National Lottery, Allwyn or any related organisation.
The lottery result is used solely as a publicly available and independently verifiable number source.
